Bryce Canyon and Walking

During the week Angela's parents came down and we got the chance to explore Bryce Canyon National Park. Because we only had a few hours we were only able to hike one trail. The trail was a 3 mile hike through the heart of Bryce canyon. It is one of the most popular trails in the park, we first hiked down Queens Garden Trail, and then up Navajo Loop Trail. Going down into the canyon was nice and simple. but once we reached the switch backs on Navajo then it got a little challenging. After the hike we enjoyed lunch and gave Grant some time to get out of the carrier and roam around. After lunch we spent some time in the Bryce Canyon Village, and played on some of the toys that they have. Grant had a Blast during the entire time we were in the park, but once we got back on the road he zonked out. Here are some pictures

there are not many pictures of Angela because she is the one taking them all. So we put this picture first so that everyone knows that she was there and we did not forget about her.

Grant and me off-roading

Since Grant is now 1 years old he recently decided that he wants to walk. Over the past few days he has begun to let go of things that he is holding on to and try to balance himself. He has gotten pretty good at standing, and is quickly learning to take steps. So here in the next week we fully expect Grant to take his first few steps. Because he is starting to walk we try and have the camera ready, but the last few months Grant has become somewhat camera shy (I think he knows that we put his pictures (funny and cute) on the blog for everyone to see) and refuses to stand or walk if we have the camera pointed on him (it may be more that it looks like a shinny new toy that he has never played with and he wants it, but I'll stick with him being camera shy). Though we have caught a few moments of him standing. The last few pictures are just to show how much he is growing and how much he still laughs at just about anything.
