Since moving down to Cedar City one year ago I have been working for Facilities Management for Southern Utah University. One of my first assignments was to make a 3d model every single building on SUU campus in and effort to put SUU on the map. So using Google Sketchup we starting modeling each building, trying to make it as detailed and as exact as possible.
During our major project we learning that beside sketchup being a free program, we could use what is called "georeferencing" to place each building in real world location into the well known Google Earth. Now after one year SUU is on the map in Google Earth, and what is better is it is in 3d. 
To View SUU campus in 3d simply open up Google Earth and check the 3d buildings layer on the left side of the screen.
