Life in Tucson

So life in here in Tucson the last few weeks has been fairly hectic. Since Angela and the kids arrived we have been trying adjust to the "bigger" city life. Learning the roads, finding stores and getting used to hundreds of people everywhere has been a challenge, at least for Angela, I had about two months of practice before they came. Just as we were getting settled things started to change like for example after received our bill from the university telling us how much we owe the school, we started to rethink our financial options. We even went as far as to applying for jobs in the western part of the US. I even dropped all my classes and was ready to give up on school at least for a year or two until we could recover from what we lost, and also build our savings back up. Finally after I told the college that I would not be attending this fall did they get there act together and finally offered us something worth staying for. So for now we will be down in Tucson at least one more semester.

Baby B is doing great, he is getting to be quite a chunky child. the other day we measured him and at 6 weeks he was approximately 24" long, when lil' G was that old he was only 20.5" long. That is a big difference for us because lil' G has always been small for his age. Besides baby B being big he has started to smile and coo at us during all times of the day. Most people seem surprised that at just one month old he is smiling and trying to talk to us, but lil' G was exactly the same way and he turned out to be quite the laugh-er. So we are hoping that baby B is the same way, it becomes very entertaining for us and makes us look like we are really weird people when others see us making faces at our little guy.

Lil' G may not be growing in size, but his brain is growing much too fast for britches (literally at his last doctor's apt his head was the only part of him that escaped the 20 and below %-tile range). Besides the fact that is his head is a little to big lil' G mind is growing like crazy, he has learned how use the keys to lock and unlock doors and mailboxes and such (assuming that he can get the key into the lock). He also is great at building things and knows how to use a screwdriver, he is quite the little helper. Some of his favorite things to do is helping unload and load the dishwasher, make our bed, and help fix things around the house. The best thing is when he comes and says "helper, helper" and then takes us to what he wants help with. Lil' G is also getting great at reading (well more memorizing than reading but hey) his books that we actually have to go to the library every few weeks and get him new ones because he knows exactly what goes on, on each page that the books start to become somewhat boring for him.

So that is life down in Tucson thus far, I am sure more exciting things will happen in the future when we have two small boys (well one small and one well....not) running around so we will try and keep everyone up-to-date, but no promises you know with me in school 23 hours everyday and Angela working 48 hours in a 24 hour day (I know weird huh, but those who are parents will understand) taking care of our little rascals.
